What size phone will fit in the ugo® Phone 2.0 window?

ALL phones will fit including the Apple® iPhone 8, 8+, X, 11, 11 PRO, and Samsung Galaxy S10 to name a few and there is no need to remove the protective case.  This gives you the flexibility of upgrading to a new phone without having to invest in a new case down the road.  

What size tablet will fit in the ugo® Tablet window?

The ugo® Tablet window fits a tablet up to 11” in size including the Apple® iPad Air 10.5”, iPad Pro 11”, Microsoft® Surface Go and Samsung® Galaxy Tab series.  Thin protective cases and keyboards do not need to be removed however thicker protective cases may need to be removed or purchase the Tablet XL to accommodate.

What size tablet will fit in the ugo® Tablet XL window?

The ugo® Tablet XL fits a tablet in the window up to 13” in size including the Apple® iPad Pro 12.9” and Microsoft® Surface Pro7.  Thin protective cases and keyboards do not need to be removed however thicker protective cases may need to be removed on a 12.9” or 13” tablet.

What size phone will fit in the ugo® SLIM window?

ALL phones will fit including the Apple® iPhone 8, 8+, X, 11, 11 PRO, and Samsung Galaxy S10 to name a few and there is no need to remove the protective case.  This gives you the flexibility of upgrading to a new phone without having to invest in a new case down the road.  

Does the ugo® SLIM pack come with a strap?

Yes the ugo® SLIM comes with an adjustable and removable strap so you can wear it your way, crossbody it, waist it or simply clip it using one of the Hypalon anchors.

Can I take pictures and video while my phone is inside the ugo® SLIM?

Yes! There is nothing stopping you from taking that gorgeous photo or video on the water (or even underwater!) and sharing it with friends… No more risk of losing the picture (and your phone) in the water.  Pair the SLIM with the ultralight harness and take amazing first person videos handsfree while enjoying any outdoor activity.  TIP: When taking a picture underwater you must use the side button and for video you must start the video, hit record, before taking the phone in the ugo® SLIM pack under the water.

Can I put other personal items in the ugo® SLIM pack besides my phone?

Yes! The ugo® SLIM is actually a waterproof phone case and wallet in one! The inside has 1 spot for your credit card, fishing license or I.D. card.  There’s plenty of room for more than one phone, an EpiPen, cash or your key fob.  It is perfect for when you just want to carry the essentials for a day on the water or at the beach.

What phones fit in the ugo® SLIM pack?

ALL phones. The ugo® waterproof phone case is designed so that even the largest smartphones will fit in it with a protective case on it!

What are the dimensions of the ugo® SLIM pack?

The ugo® SLIM dimensions are 8.5” Height x 6” Width x 1/8” Depth.  Weight 1.5 oz. 

Can I use my electronics while inside the ugo® packs?

Yes, all electronic functions except the rear camera can be used easily with the ugo® including the use of a stylus to draw or take notes.  To ensure a truly waterproof seal, there is not a way to externally charge your electronics, however you can charge the devices while inside with a portable charger.  You can make or take a call, dictate, use Siri® and Hey Google® or simply connect bluetooth headphones or speakers.

How can a zippered electronic case be truly waterproof?

Each one of the premium ugo® products are tested underwater for 24 hours before leaving the factory to ensure a waterproof/airtight seal.  In addition, we Third Party Tested our packs for water resistance.  ugo® is Certified Waterproof with an ingress protection rating of IP68.  We followed the lead of experts in public safety and scuba gear when we engineered the ugo® pack. The ugo® waterproof packs use the same type of zipper that is used on dry suits and hazmat public safety suits which require an airtight seal which even a germ cannot penetrate! 

Is there a way that I can test that my ugo® is waterproof with each use?

Absolutely yes, our testable design makes it easy for you to know the product is completely waterproof!  Simply ZIP, SEAL, then SQUEEZE the pack, if air cannot get out water cannot get in!  Test it as often as you’d like so you can enjoy a worry-free day on the water.

How is the call volume and microphone on the phone when inside the ugo® pack?

Customers tell us that call volume is excellent with the phone in the pack, for both listening and speaking.  You will love not having to worry about removing your phone from the pack to answer a call and risk water damage to your phone or worse yet having it sink to the bottom of a lake, river or ocean.

Why is the ugo® more expensive than other waterproof cases?

Does the ugo® Phone 2.0 pack come with a strap?

The ugo® products are Certified Waterproof with an IP68 Rating. What does this mean?

The defining difference between the ugo® products and other competitive waterproof pouches is that many claim to have this rating but didn’t receive it through third party testing. Here is how to read and understand the IP68 Rating:

• IP– This stands for the Ingress Protection Rating, a standard drawn up by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
• 6– The first digit stands for the ugo® resistance to dirt, dust, and sand. 6 is the highest number achievable.
• 8– The second digit provides certification for the ugo® water resistance. This is the number that is most important to you as you take your electronics in ugo® on the water.  Receiving an 8 speaks to the reliability and quality of all the ugo® products.

Can I take selfies while my phone is inside the ugo®?

Yes! There is nothing stopping you from taking that gorgeous selfie or video on the water (or even underwater!) and sharing it with friends… No more risk of losing the selfie (and your phone) in the water.  TIP: When taking a picture underwater you must use the side button and for video you must start the video, hit record, before taking the phone in the ugo® pack under the water.

Are there any instances where my electronics could get wet while inside the ugo® pack?

The ugo® packs are truly waterproof as long as you have the uZIP™ waterproof zipper completely closed. It is normal for the zipper to feel a little stiffer than a typical zipper, since it is a waterproof zipper. To test if your ugo® is properly closed simply ZIP, SEAL, then SQUEEZE with each use, and you are ready to enjoy a worry-free day on the water.

Do the ugo® waterproof packs float?

Yes! The ugo® products unlike some of the other waterproof phone or tablet cases do float!  The ugo® was tested to be waterproof in depths of up to 20 feet for any length of time. The ugo® Phone pack was also tested to float while weighted with 20.6 ounces, that equals the weight of 3 phones and other gear!  The ugo® Tablets will float with over 6 lbs. of gear in them.

Can I put other personal items in the ugo® pack besides my phone?

Yes! The ugo® is actually a waterproof phone case and wallet in one! The inside has 3 spots for your credit cards and an additional zipper pocket good for housing cash or medication. The wallet phone case can fit your phone, credit cards, cash, lip balm, and keys for your boat and car. Even items like an EpiPen, inhaler, or eye drops can fit in the ugo® along with a phone.  Some people have fit 3 phones in the case (one in the window and two in the middle). It is perfect for when you just want to carry the essentials for a day on the water or beach. Some of our customers have coined it their “boat purse” or “boat wallet” because it suits their lifestyle on the water so perfectly.

Can I put other personal items in the ugo® pack besides my tablet?

Yes! The ugo® Tablet packs are great for carrying a battery charger, camera, keys, phones, passport, wallet, important papers, pen, stylus, earbuds, business cards and even a laptop in the Tablet XL.  The hook and loop inside panel makes it easy to organize items so they do not fall to the bottom making them easily accessible.

What is the warranty for the ugo®™ products?

Will the sun, saltwater, or chlorine damage the ugo® products?

No, the ugo® products are made with premium materials all of which are chlorine, UV, and saltwater resistant, ugo® products are extremely rugged!

My iPhone 7 or 8 will not unlock while in ugo®. What can I do?

Apple® changed the home button to haptic touch in 2018 and this made it difficult to unlock the home screen on some phones.  We found a simple solution is to rest your thumb (or any finger) on the screen when pressing the home button to wake and unlock. Once you have the phone unlocked, it will perform without that extra touch. It is only needed when unlocking.  See our YouTube video for more information.

Can I use the ugo® in extreme hot or cold temperatures?

Yes, the ugo® products insulate electronics from extreme heat or cold, which helps to preserve your battery life and eliminates condensation.  It is third party tested to 120 degrees F and to -20 degrees F and functioned as normal.

How do I care for my ugo® products?

The uZIP™ waterproof zippers are maintenance free and highly resistant to damage caused by dirt or sand - simply clean with soap and water.  To clean the entire pack, simply use soapy water, and any nonabrasive soft brush.  The Magic Eraser® works well to clean the clear TPU window. When the ugo® packs are not in use, it is best to store with the zipper closed.  Make sure the inside is completely dry before sealing for long-term storage. It is normal for the zipper to feel a little stiffer than a typical zipper since it is specially designed for scuba diving suits. Click here to learn more about caring for your ugo®. 

How do I use the lubricant on the uZIP® waterproof zipper?

The uZIP® waterproof zipper is the most technologically advanced zipper in the world!  While it is a maintenance free zipper the included lubricant will aid with ease of opening and closing the zipper.  Before using your ugo®, simply apply a small amount of the included lubricant to both sides of the U-shaped docking station at the end of the zipper (do not apply lubricant to the actual zipper). If you lose or run out of the lubricant, any silicone lubricant will do. Do not use the lubricant on the entire zipper - only the docking station (see image below).  We recommend applying the lubricant once per month.
