Known as the longest-running billfish competition in the world, the epic San Juan International Billfish Tournament is recognized for the overpopulated blue marlin located off the north coast. It’s also highly regarded for distinguished prizes and for luring the best anglers from around the globe. In addition, individuals compete for over $15,000 in cash prizes and one lucky participant could earn the top prize of $25,000.
If you’re up for the challenge, most experienced anglers recognize this place for catching the biggest marlin. Weighing up to a whopping 700 pounds, these fish can be found along the legendary “Blue Marlin Alley” – a natural trench with depths up to 100 feet.
